Rich and creamy Indian butter chicken with aromatic spices

Ingredients

  • 1 can Diced Tomatoes
  • 1 piece Onion
  • 10 cloves Garlic
  • 3 teaspoons Minced Ginger
  • 2 teaspoons Turmeric
  • 1 teaspoon Kashmiri Chili Pepper
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons Smoked Paprika
  • 2 teaspoons Kosher Salt
  • 3 teaspoons Garam Masala
  • 2 teaspoons Ground Cumin
  • 1 pound Chicken Thighs
  • 8 ounces Butter
  • 8 ounces Heavy Cream
  • 2 pinches Kasoori Methi
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons Sugar
  • 1/2 cups Fresh Cilantro

Instructions

  1. 1 Sauté onion and garlic until softened
  2. 2 Add tomatoes, ginger, turmeric, kashmiri chili, smoked paprika, salt, garam masala, cumin, and chicken once the onion has been sweated
  3. 3 Cook down until chicken is fully cooked and sauce has thickened
  4. 4 Blend the mixture and pass through a sieve for smooth consistency
  5. 5 Add butter, cream and kasoori methi
  6. 6 Add sugar to taste (approximately 1.5 tablespoons)
  7. 7 Garnish with chopped cilantro and serve
